Efora’s mission is to provide our clients with industrial competitiveness through smarter maintenance solutions. As an industrial service provider, we specialise in maintenance and engineering.
Why do we provide smarter maintenance solutions?
A competitive industry is the backbone of a healthy society. Finnish pulp, paper and board production excels in the global market. Therefore, the value of our products is measured in comparison with global standards.
Stora Enso and ABB started Efora at the beginning of 2009 as a joint venture. The present-day Efora was formed when Stora Enso became its sole owner at the end of 2013.
Improving the overall life cycle is at the core of our business. We achieve this by tapping into a network of the best suppliers, through information management and by developing the efficiency of our own work.
“Smarter maintenance solutions” is our promise to our customers. We do things better and smarter, in small or large projects, every day. And because our solutions are brighter, we are the secret to your machinery’s longevity, the one that ensures “smooth sailing”, as well as your production workers’ best friend.
Smarter maintenance is based on managing information about the production line. This information can be found from systems or the knowhow of our experts. At Efora, we are skilled at turning knowledge into action – and we succeed at maintenance projects because we know what we are doing.
Efora provides industrial competitiveness and value-added services for our customers. Our partner network is comprised of leading industrial and technological experts. Some of our partners are developers of a broad scope of technology, others are highly specialised.
Our partners’ fields of experience include the industrial internet, machinery manufacturing, mechanics, automation, electricity and spare parts services – in fact, everything relating to the industrial process or smarter maintenance.
Our goals and principles unite us: Our common task is to increase the added value for our customers. We value our partners for their innovation, proactive approach and commitment to our common goals.
Ethical standards and work safety are absolute prerequisites for cooperation. Shared values make working easier in every situation.
Benefits from partnership
Through Efora’s network, you can take advantage of new business opportunities that the industrial reform has to offer.
As a partner of smarter maintenance, you can participate with your knowhow of processes, expertise and professionalism in a world-class industrial environment. Interactive cooperation accelerates the development of both parties.
Partnership for our personnel means developing their expertise and learning from demanding projects.

Efora is a stable and rewarding employer that actively develops its way of working, expertise and personnel. The company’s training, studies and exchange programmes enable everyone to develop their careers. I’ve always been proud to call myself an Efora employee – right from the start.
I started working at Efora six years ago as a summer employee. This is my third year working here as an apprentice. The biggest advantages of working at Efora are the flexibility and opportunities to enhance my skills. I am interested in health and safety at work, and currently, I have the chance to work as an occupational health and safety representative.
– Toni, Technician
I joined the company in 1982. The years have passed and even the name of the employer has changed. Efora provides plenty of professional challenges and opportunities. I’ve been working as an installer, installation supervisor, team leader and project planner – in Finland and abroad.
– Seppo, Maintenance Technician
I’ve enjoyed working at Efora and its predecessor Fortek for the past 11 years. I started out as a project engineer, continued as project manager and now work as a manager of engineering services. The variety of projects and the possibility to advance and develop are great motivating factors here. Those who are interested can find opportunities in other regions or choose from a wide range of projects abroad.
